We offer a well-structured piano pathway designed to set students up for long-term success.

All beginners start in Beginners Piano program which will typically take students up to ABRSM Grade 1–2 level before transitioning into private 1:1 lessons for more advanced study.
Our private lessons are tailored to each student's level and goals, developing:
Unlike many studios, we don't focus solely on exam pieces. Students develop strong core musicianship through a balanced programme that builds lasting skills and confidence. Exams are always optional.
We're proud to maintain a 100% ABRSM pass rate, with many students achieving Merits and Distinctions.

Are you tired of hearing your child play the same three or four exam pieces over and over again? Have you ever wondered why those are the only pieces they can play? Would you rather your child learn and enjoy 30–50 pieces a year, or just 3–4 exam pieces?
Many transfer students join us having been taught only a handful of exam pieces at each grade - a result of the “exam factory” or "exam conveyer belt" approach.
They may hold Grade 1, 2 or even Grade 3 certificates, yet still struggle to read music fluently, learn new pieces independently, or play without finger numbers or note names written on the score.
A common sign is "autopilot playing" where students can perform familiar exam pieces from memory, often without even opening the exam music book, but cannot confidently start from the middle of the piece, recover from mistakes, or tackle new unfamiliar music. They've spent months polishing a small number of exam pieces instead of building broader musical skills.
Learning just three or four Grade 1 exam pieces is not the same as being truly Grade 1 standard.
To be genuinely Grade 1 standard, a student should be able to learn and play a wide range of repertoire at that level, supported by secure note-reading, rhythm, technique, finger control, scales, sight-reading, aural skills and overall musical understanding.
Imagine skipping Years 10 and 11 and going straight to your GCSE exams. That is essentially what happens when a student learns only the Grade 1 exam pieces without developing the knowledge and skills behind them.
Exam certificates can sometimes create the impression that a student is progressing well, even when important foundations have been skipped in favour of rushing through exam pieces.
At our studio, exams are milestones, not the curriculum. We believe students should take an exam when they're already playing many repertoires comfortably at that level - not spend months wrestling with just three or four pieces.
Instead, we focus on building true musical literacy and fluent music reading. Students learn a broad repertoire, develop fluent music reading from clean copies of the score, strengthen technique, rhythm and listening skills, and receive integrated music theory at no extra cost.
We're proud to prepare students for ABRSM Grades 1–8, with a 100% pass rate and many students achieving Merits and Distinctions.
"True musical literacy is our priority. I've seen far too many students fast-tracked through exams who sadly cannot read music fluently. Our goal is to ensure every student develops confident reading skills alongside strong technique and real musical understanding." - Emi

We follow the ABRSM syllabus for Grades 1–8, covering pieces, scales, sight‑reading, and aural skills. Exams are optional, with two formats:
Scores out of 150: 100 to pass, 120 for Merit, 130 for Distinction.
Higher grades require more commitment. From Grade 2+, we recommend 60‑minute weekly lessons. To progress to Grades 6–8, passing Grade 5 Music Theory is mandatory.
* Even for Performance Grades, we still teach scales, sight‑reading, and aural skills for a well rounded music education.
Engaging, focused lessons where confidence grows. We celebrate effort, curiosity, and the courage to try again.

We don’t just teach piano - we help students become confident, focused, and resilient learners who take pride in their progress and enjoy the journey, all within a kind, supportive and inspiring community.
Below are answers to some of our most commonly asked questions. We also encourage all parents to read our Studio Policy Agreement carefully when enrolling. It forms a binding agreement between the studio and parent/guardian, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth, enjoyable and successful learning experience, helping achieve the best possible outcomes for your child's musical journey ✨
Age 5 is a general guide, but every child is different. During the Intro Lesson, we assess readiness based on factors such as maturity, attention span, and physical development. We welcome complete beginners as well as children with previous musical experience.
Beginners lessons are 60 minutes. Lessons in our Grade 1–8 programme are either 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the student's level, goals, and individual needs. In addition to each student's regular weekly lesson, we also offer PAYG top-up lessons when needed, for example for extra exam preparation or additional support.
At least 20–30 minutes, 4 times per week. From Grade 2 onwards, we typically expect around 1 hour of daily practice. Consistent practice is one of the biggest factors in a student's success, alongside regular lesson attendance, a good practice routine, and parent support. Like any skill, the more your child practises, the more they will progress and enjoy seeing their improvement.
Every child progresses at their own individual pace. Most students complete our beginners programme in 18–24 months, reaching approximately Grade 1–2 standard. Regular home practice and consistent attendance have the greatest impact on progress.
Many parents underestimate how much is involved in learning an instrument. In addition to exam pieces, we ensure our students are also taught a broad repertoire, develop strong sight-reading, technique, theory, creativity and more. Our comprehensive, holistic approach develops confident, independent pianists with skills for life.
While many students take ABRSM grades and do brilliantly, some simply play for the love of it. We build the path around your child's goals.
Yes, students are encouraged to take part in our recitals and care home performances, building confidence and stage presence in a warm, supportive environment. For those who choose to enter music festivals and competitions, we provide specialist coaching to help them perform at their best. Our students have won medals, trophies, awards, honours and prizes.
Missed lessons are not refunded or rescheduled, even with advance notice. Your child's lesson time is reserved exclusively for them each week, and our teachers are paid to reserve that time in advance. As our timetable is full with a waiting list, missed lessons cannot be reallocated. Regular attendance is key to steady progress, which is why we follow Bromley school term dates to help families plan ahead. Please read our Studio Policy Agreement for full details.
